Vibration-buckling tests on heated composite plates

چکیده

This paper presents an experimental investigation on vibrations of heated composite plates leading to thermal buckling. The tests were performed considering two main goals: the application Vibration Correlation Technique for detection buckling in plates; and exploration frequency variations before after occurrence a mode jump post-buckling regime. Two test setups used. shared low expansion frame, while they differentiate type heating source mechanical boundary conditions. with layups [30/−30/5/−5]s [35/−35/10/−10]s tested. excited acoustically using loudspeaker, vibration frequencies monitored stored laser vibrometer. Buckling temperatures successfully detected Technique. Frequency changes, potentially related jumping, also detected.
